Die Kunst der Fashion-Photographie

Warum bist Du Photograph geworden?

Also ich muss zugeben, dass ich weder mit einer Kamera im Kinderzimmer gespielt habe, noch, dass ich das schon immer werden wollte, so wie man es oft bei anderen Fotografen liest. Ich denke, der Mensch erfindet sich jeden Tag neu und entwickelt sich weiter. Mit Kunst an sich hatte ich schon immer viel zu tun. Und da ich Malerei und Zeichnungen schon immer faszinierend fand, aber nie gut darin war, war es eine Frage der Zeit auf die Fotografie zu stoßen. Und mit der Fotografie und mir ist es wie mit dem Pyromanen und dem Streichholz. Das Leben hat mir eine Kamera in die Hand gedrückt und es war um mich geschehen. Jetzt lebe und atme ich, manchmal zum Leidwesen meines Umkreises, Fotografie.

Was zieht Dich zur Photographie an?

Das Kreative! Da die Fotografie ja nichts anderes ist als Malen mit Licht, lege ich insbesondere auf die Gestaltung von Licht und Schatten sehr viel Wert. Ein Foto wirkt erst dann richtig, wenn genau auf die Licht- und Schattensetzung geachtet wurde. So sind Fotos durch die richtige Gestaltung unglaubliche Bedeutungsträger und lösen beim Betrachter immer eine Reaktion aus. Und gerade das fasziniert mich.

Wie siehst Du eine Frau, aus Photograph perspektive?

Situationsabhängig aber meistens durch dem Sucher meiner Kamera.

Und als Mann?

Das klingt ja fast wie eine Glaubensfrage. Ich glaube, etwas so komplexes wie eine Frau kann man nicht in Wörtern beschreiben oder erfassen. Ich denke am besten sieht man, was eine Frau für mich bedeutet, in meinen Fotos. Manchmal drückt ein Bild einfach mehr als 1000 Worte aus.

Warum willst du Fashion- Fotographie machen ?

Gerade Mode ist ein ewig sich schnell verändernder Prozess. Es ist spannend, am Zahn der Zeit zu sein und schnell auf Trends zu reagieren. Gerade in diesem kommerziellen Sektor kann man Kreativität am besten ausleben. Wobei ich sagen muss, dass ich sehr gerne auch aussagekräftige Portraits ablichte.

Wer ist für Dich eine „perfekte Frau“?

Ich brauche sie nicht mehr suchen, sondern habe sie in meiner Freundin schon gefunden. Sie ist für mich perfekt. Allgemein gibt es, denke ich, keine perfekte Frau oder Mann, sondern nur eine Person, die für jemand anderen perfekt ist.

Was suchst du in Fotos?

Das Ungewöhnliche! Fotos sind insbesondere inspirierend wenn sie etwas Neues zeigen bzw eine neue Perspektive von etwas Gewöhnlichem. Also das Gewöhnliche ungewöhnlich machen.

Ist es einfach in Wien ein Photograph zu sein?

Ich schätze weder einfacher oder schwerer als irgendwo sonst auf der Welt. In jedem Beruf muss man Leistung erbringen und wenn man keinen Erfolg hat liegt es meist an einem selbst. Wien selbst als Stadt voller Kultur und Geschichte ist auf jeden Fall ein guter Startpunkt um sich zu entwickeln aber gerade als Fotograf muss man offen sein auch in andere Länder zu reisen und das stellt für mich kein Problem dar. Wer sich nicht weiterentwickelt bleibt stehen und gerade in der Fotografie ist „stehen bleiben“ ein No Go!

Welche Pläne hast Du ?

2013 wird für mich ein spannendes Jahr. Im Moment bin ich noch am Ausbauen meines Portfolios und am Planen meines Fotostudios, dass Ende des Jahres fertiggestellt werden soll. Natürlich kann man sich auf viele neue Projekte, die teils schon geplant sind oder in Planung sind, freuen. Weiters habe ich vor, mich in dem Markt noch mehr zu etablieren und viele spannende Aufträge anzunehmen. Man wird sehen, was die Zukunft bringt, aber Grenzen gibt es immer nur im Kopf.
